Rules on how to be an afghan hound..from one afghan to another ;)
1) Stealing is NOT a sin - every afghan hound should make stealing a part of their every day life.Food especially is a desired object for stealing! Remember as an afghan hound you're able to get anything...jump up on tables, open doors...don't let anything stop you!
2)You should Never accept sleeping on the floor.As a family member you have the same right to sleep/rest in the best beds,chairs and sofa's - never mind what else your owner is trying to tell you!
3) Despite beeing new bathed and groomed, you still have EVERY right to get dirty. Run around,roll over in whatever comes your way ... the smart thing about this is that your owner has to brush you one more time,-and I have to admit,that's quite comfortable every now and then!
4)You are NOT just another common dog.......You're an afghan hound.That are two completely different things!!!!!!!!
5)You are the one who decides when the time for cuddling is! If you're not in the mood, you don't have to stand all the attention you're getting...so simply go away and ignore whoever's trying to be good with you!
6)Running........that's what we're made for right? So if you're owner is stupid enough to let you loose without a leash, it's your obligation to run away.Never mind the yelling somewhere behind you, and if your owner is running after you and trying to catch you,well that's when the fun starts.Because they can't catch you before you want it yourself!So enjoy running free as long as you can, and give your owner a really hard time!
7) Some people claim that Afghan Hounds are stupid;in fact one of the most stupid species.Just know that it's the people that are stupid,because they haven't had the possibility to find out just how smart we really are.Because we do things we want to do....when we want to do it !
